FIB 2011
Well it is an odd day for @thisisfib when one has to do something without the other, and it is with a strange loneliness that I, Anita Darling, make my wAy up to Benicassim from Valencia, on my own without my partner-in-crime and teammate extraordinaire, Lolita Devine. The poor love is stranded in Germany, of all places, and so I must endure numb bum on the hard seats of the regional train alone....

No More Heineken - Lots more FIB
It seems that the international brewery, is pulling the plugs as the main sponsor for Festival International de Benicassim, the highest-profile of Spain’s summer music festivals.
The past 10 years has seen Heineken as main sponsor of Benicàssim and they tried to insist that the media in Spain and abroad referred to the event as FIB Heineken. In the UK it was always simply known as Beni or...

FIN! End of Festival Internacional de Benicassim...
Well I said on the first night that I felt that FIB had changed so much since last year that it didn’t even seem like the same festival any more, but I think we may be back to best friends status after the weekend, as underneath its the same old lovely place it always has been, with the generous and friendly crowd, happy and relaxed ambience, and fantastic music on offer it always has had....
Day 3, Saturday at Festival Internacional de...
Well its Sunday afternoon here in Benicassim and the final day of the Festival is about to kick off. Its been a crazy XVI edition so far, and tonight the biggest news are the changes in the timetables thanks to the fact that Lily Allen has pulled out for the second year running claiming she is sick. Again. The rumours here are that she is pregnant, but if her twitter is to be believed then she...

Lily Allen cancels her performance at FIB Heineken...
Lily Allen regrets that she has been forced to pull out of her appearance tomorrow, Sunday, at the Benicassim festival due to illness. Having been advised by her doctor that she would be unfit to travel in the next 7 days lily had no option but to cancel. She sends her deepest apologies to fans.
The second year running! But every cloud has a silver lining, Ellie Goulding now Performs on the...
Friday 16th July Festival Internacional de...
I talked about concert clashes on Thursday, but trying to be at three at once (at least) yesterday was bonkers! It was an utter scorcher on Friday night at Festival Internacional de Benicassim XVI and the punters were out in their droves, scantily clad and ready to party. It seems Kate Moss set the rules for Festival Dressing years back at Glastonbury, and no-one really ventures outside the lines...

Day 1 at Festival Internacional de Benicassim XVI...
Well its only one day in but I can already see that things are a lot different around here. Maybe I was getting a bit confident, but I felt that the festival and I were like best friends, we knew each other really well, our ins and outs, ups and downs and just how we liked things done. And now I’m feeling like I’ve lost touch and been left behind!
Driving into Benicassim there is a huge dark...

THIS IS... WHAT YOU MUST PUT IN YOUR SUITCASE FOR...
SUNSCREEEEEN! Whenever we’re in the UK we stock up on Boots Soltan ‘once’ sun lotion, (one application lasts up to six hours etc… but we’re sure there must be other makes too, don’t quite understand why nothing similar has been brought out here yet!?) and its super handy for those long walks into town/to the beach/into the festival, especially if you’re...

Anita and Lolita's guide to having a good time at...
Not that we consider ourselves experts or anything, and we’re too much of princesses to camp so don’t take our advice in that area too seriously, but we have compiled a little guide to make sure your time at the festival runs as smoothly as possible. Here goes, music lovers!
